Table Talk Resumes Sep 2

Beginning Thursday, September 2, we will meet on Thursday evenings at Crossroads Church to hear these stories as we honor refugee cultures. Each week we will feature a particular refugee community as we enjoy their food, learn about their history, and celebrate their culture! You will have the opportunity not only to hear these stories, but to offer insight so that we can improve them before printing.

The first meeting will be informational only (no food or childcare), so that we can all be on the same page about our goals for the semester and how you can best be involved. We’ll update everyone then on our current plans in light of current COVID-19 trends as well.

Here are two specific ways to contribute:

(1) We desperately want this to be a family-friendly program, which means we need help watching kids after we’ve eaten. Pick a Thursday night this semester to serve alongside your community group, Sunday School class, friends, or club. Come one week to participate, and volunteer with your friends the next week! Email Mandi to express interest.

(2) Consider sponsoring a night! We estimate our costs to be $450 per week, and this program is not currently part of our budget
