Hello, friends. High five for making it through January! 🖐️ Between wild weather, school delays, sickness and a full news cycle, we have spun our way through a whirlwind of a month!

January brought with it some wonderful events – our friend R* from Afghanistan was overjoyed to finally have a family member join him in the states after years of waiting. His sister arrived a little over a week ago to the US. (pictured above eating dinner with John’s family). R is so happy to have family nearby once again, but is still desperate for his wife to be able to join him. Unfortunately, thousands of refugees in the US like R who are still separated from their families are unsure what will happen with the new administration’s policies.

Many of you have been so kind to stop in and chat, text us, or email prayers to our team and organization in the days since these Executive Orders were issued regarding refugee resettlement and immigration. Many of you have also expressed worry about our programs and ministry being affected, so let’s answer some of your questions, shall we?
