Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for helping our team achieve day-to-day success by executing the administrative needs of our growing non-profit organization. Under the oversight of the Executive Director, you will be responsible for managing HR-related tasks, performing day-to-day financial duties, overseeing our calendar & schedules, serving as the initial point of contact by phone & email, developing new systems & procedures for our team, and managing our facilities. As you grow into a deeper understanding of our vision, you may have the opportunity to speak into key areas of our mission and contribute in other ways to our growing team as we work together to improve the lives of refugees in our area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as RLP’s first line of contact by answering the phone, routing messages, managing email, and responding to walk-in visitors.
  • Serve as the point person for RLP facilities, including making purchases for the office, choosing vendors, and arranging repairs.
  • Prioritize assistance to the Executive Director by paying special attention to his calendar, scheduling meetings, assisting with communication, and planning for Board meetings.
  • Manage HR-related tasks, including supervision of time sheets & PTO, onboarding new employees, overseeing benefits, organizing filing systems, and developing new procedures & systems to facilitate RLP’s growth.
  • Manage the RLP calendar, including scheduling meetings and tracking day-to-day whereabouts of the RLP team.
  • Provide day-to-day financial oversight, including paying bills, issuing invoices, categorizing expenditures in Quickbooks, and compiling program & grant budget reports.
  • Support the team’s IT needs by finding solutions to tech-related problems, managing software subscriptions & accounts, etc.
  • As appropriate, collaborate with RLP team members for other overlapping projects, such as setting up for presentations, preparing mailouts, and organizing events.

A high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience, the anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, group term life insurance, paid time off, and 13 paid holidays per year. An exceptional candidate may be given the opportunity to transition into a Director role with supervisory responsibilities and the commensurate compensation.
