Want to Taste the World?
Food is a doorway.
What is Taste the World? All you can eat samples, from all over the world, all in Amarillo. A ticket gets you into the best-tasting fundraiser in town where you will discover the variety of food and cultures our city has to offer! We’ll have dishes from restaurants as well as home chefs right here in our community - many of which you’ve probably never tasted! And you can do it all while listening to incredible live music by our friends Chill Son.
More than just an annual fundraiser for Refugee Language Project, Taste the World sets the table for English language learners from Afghanistan & single moms from Cuba to sit side-by-side with local farmers & business owners to experience something unexpected. Because when we try something different and expect it to be good, we discover a new world full of friends & foods we didn’t know we liked before.
Salvadoran Pupusas, Lao beef jerky, Ethiopian injera and Afghan bolani have made their way into the bellies and hearts of Amarillo over the past two years. Awarded Outstanding Fundraising Event of 2024, Taste the World - Amarillo's Global Food Scene is back, and we are expecting to sell out for the third year running!
We are still accepting inquiries for corporate sponsorships and will open ticket sales on 9/21/26. For more information on sponsorships, please email contact@refugeelanguage.org.
**New for 2026**
Reserved Tables
If you have been to previous iterations of Taste the World, maybe you want to take it up a notch this year and pay for reserved seating for your group of 8 instead of making a mad dash to save seats when the doors open. Reserved tables are limited and will be available when tickets go on sale 9/21.
Dessert Drop
This year we are introducing a timed dessert release at tables partway through the evening. So go ahead and load up on all the savory dinner foods without worrying about grabbing a sweet treat before they run out. We’ll announce the drop and bring a selection of options to each table for you to try while we share a short message from the stage about our mission.
